Company History
In 1987, operating under the name "Lion Fire & Safety Supplies", Pyrene Fire Security Manitoba started off with only a few service vehicles, basic extinguisher servicing equipment, and a limited amount of expertise among its employees. Under new ownership and relocated to Clarence Avenue, Lion Fire reorganized itself and slowly grew; expanding its customer base and perfecting the techniques required for servicing portable extinguishers and kitchen fire extinguishing systems. When Pyrene Fire Security (formerly Chubb Security) tendered two of their divisions for sale, the opportunity to get into the fire alarm and clean agent suppression systems market was impossible to pass up. After acquiring the Pyrene product distribution rights, and the rights to the Pyrene name in Manitoba, the company dropped the old name in favour of the current. In 1990, Pyrene Fire Security Manitoba relocated to St. James Street with larger facilities, and an increased clientele. 1994 brought a demand for more services and Pyrene responded by enlarging its existing facility.
Capable of offering a wider array of services over a broader area, the company grew further, giving rise to the need for larger, new and improved facilities. Since 2000, Pyrene Fire Security Manitoba has been located on Mazenod Road (St. Boniface Industrial Park) in a brand new complex. Truly a premier class facility, Pyrene is proud of our resources and our ability to meet, and exceed the needs of our customers. |
